What types of feedback do you provide?
I offer detailed feedback on individual scenes, transitions, and entire chapters of your memoir. My goal is to help you refine your narrative, enhance emotional impact, and ensure clarity in your storytelling. Oftentimes, this includes suggestions of sentence and/or paragraph movement, word choice and addition or deletion of parts of writing.
How does the feedback process work?
Once you submit your writing, typically via google doc., I review it thoroughly. I provide constructive analysis that highlights strengths and areas for improvement, ensuring you receive actionable insights to elevate your memoir.
Can I request feedback on specific aspects of my writing?
Absolutely! You can specify if you want evaluation on particular scenes, character development, or overall flow. I tailor feedback to meet your unique needs and writing goals.
How long does it take to receive feedback?
Typically, you can expect to receive commentary within forty-eight hours, depending on the length of your submission. Please note, submissions that are received after 5:00pm Friday Eastern Time will not be reviewed until Monday. Holidays are excluded in this forty-eight hour turnaround time.
What makes you different from other services?
At My Truth Memoir Writing Services, you can pick your focus. If you would only like feedback on scenes, great! If you want feedback on an entire chapter with scenes and transitions, that works too! Together, we can tailor the services to meet your needs.
How does the contract and payment work?
You are not committed to long-term contracts. If you decide to sign up for a monthly coaching service, you will pay at the start of the month-long term (30 days) via Zelle or Venmo. If you decide to take an additional month or several months, you will pay at the beginning of each month. This enables you to pay as you need the services, rather than commit to long-term contracts.
If your goal is to only have selected scenes, transitions, or chapters reviewed, after reviewing the quote provided, you will pay via Zelle or Venmo.
